sitting together we made a promise,
no matter what we'll stay forever this way,
through the dark and the light,
in the thunder or any blunder.

we made a promise, to see our smiles before anybody else could,
to walk that curvy road together,
to hold hands when the wind starts to become heavy,
to kick-ass anyone who is a trouble.

we made a promise, to love each other,
to build a world with all the happiness,
to cry for the other's pain,
to lie for the other's gain.

now i fear, soon you won't be near,
i won't cry, i won't shed a tear,
i have to be strong, i know the reason,
you have another promise to keep.

i have a faith, we'll still be together,
like a breeze you'll always touch me,
like a shadow you'll always follow me,
we made a promise.

Nothing

Sitting on the last bench of a class,
You are making some noise along with a pal,
The lecture is going on, which is not very interesting,
Suddenly the teacher catches you both laughing,
She asks you what it is all about, scared you just says, "nothing".

What a fine day, you did not go to school and everyone at home has gone to their work,
In your own happy mood, you start playing cricket inside your hall,
Everything was fine until you broke an expensive vase,
You know you are gonna be so dead when mom comes, you start cleaning your wardrobe and everything else around,
When she finally arrives you show her what all good you did today; astonished she asks why is all this done, speechless you says, "nothing".

You just had an argument with your best buddy,
You have tried explaining him your point in the best way possible; but he won't understand,
He leaves then for doing his work,
Coming back after some time asks why you are still sad,
You know there's no point in arguing with him all over again; giving up you say, "nothing".

Your girlfriend is mad at you for something,
She is all shouting and punching you,
About to cry, she mumbles some meaningless things to you,
Her nose and cheek have become pink red due to all the crying; looking her in this way you start smiling,
She asks you, "now what are you smiling at ? "; to that cute face you say, "nothing".

You have been working very hard at the office lately, feel like running away somewhere from all this,
Taking a break as usual you go for a coffee,
Sitting at a chair near window you are looking some where, (only GOD can explain what it is :) )
You have remembered some incident from your past, which was funny, stupid and totally not you; a smile comes across your face,
Your team mate suddenly comes and asks the reason for it, nodding your head you say, "nothing".

Some experiences which are second to none :

Catching a bus which is about to leave the station.
Watching your child trying to walk, when he can't. The way he stands up taking some support and then again fells down.
Getting a glimpse of your crush through the closing door of the lift.
Trying to lick your ice-cream when it has already reached your elbow.
Smiling about something while sitting alone in peace.
Pressing the send button for your text message, while you are still in dilemma to send it or not.
Picking up the last chocolate left in the distribution.
Last ball of the match left and India needs some 10 odd runs. We feel that India can still pull it.
Your friend is saying something, which you have no idea about. You still keep on nodding your head to make him feel that you are interested.
Singing in bathroom, we think that nobody is able to hear us. Try to be on the other side of the door.
Your class teacher asks you to get out of the class, while you were thinking of a reason to run away.

Life will give us chances to enjoy small things, it's totally up to us to grab them.
